About SpeedUpMyPC

Helping everyday users fix slow computers since 2020

SpeedUpMyPC started as a simple blog in early 2020, born out of a frustration that most PC optimization advice online was either outdated, overly technical, or just thinly-veiled advertisements for paid "cleanup" software that does more harm than good.

Our founder, David Park, had spent over a decade working in IT support and noticed the same pattern over and over: people buying expensive new computers because their old ones felt slow, when in reality a few simple tweaks could have fixed the problem for free.

Today, SpeedUpMyPC is a small team of IT professionals who write clear, actionable guides for optimizing Windows PCs. Every tip we publish is tested on real hardware. We never recommend paid software unless it genuinely outperforms free alternatives, and we never accept sponsored content that compromises our recommendations.

What We Believe

Free fixes first

Most PC performance problems can be solved without spending a dime. We always lead with free solutions and only recommend hardware upgrades when they are genuinely needed.

Plain language, real steps

We write for regular people, not IT professionals. Every guide includes step-by-step instructions with exact menu paths and screenshots where they help.

Tested, not recycled

We test every recommendation on real Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines before publishing. We do not recycle tips from other websites without verifying them ourselves.
